Thanks to everyone who came out for this year’s River Run on the Pomme de Terre River in Stevens County! Twenty community members from the full expanse of the Pomme de Terre Watershed joined us to enjoy the river and connect with neighbors.
Afterward, participants gathered for a free meal, where Stevens Soil and Water Conservation District staff discussed citizen science apps and local clean water efforts. It was a great chance to talk about how everyday residents can help monitor and protect our waterways.
Thanks to Stevens SWCD for helping make the event possible. We’re already looking forward to next year’s River Run!
If you know of a particularly good section of the Pomme de Terre for paddling that you would like to see highlighted in future River Runs, please reach out to Dan, the Watershed Coordinator, to let him know.
