June 28th, 2018 Pomme de Terre River Run
Yesterday was a perfect day for paddling! 39 total paddlers took to the Pomme de Terre River to explore 6 miles of the local stretch of river through the Dolven Wildlife Management Area to the Pomme de Terre Park in Morris, MN. An amazing mix of generations, professions, and experience levels joined us for a truly successful event.
PDTRA is able to bring community members and stakeholders together to learn about and explore their water resources thanks to Federal 319 funding made available thanks to the 1987 amendments to the Clean Water Act establishing the Section 319 Non-point Source Management Program to focus on state and local non-point source efforts.
A special thank you to the Stevens Soil and Water District, the Morris Regional Fitness Center, and all those who helped transport kayaks and paddlers!
